Schools

Home to many children, Royal Oak has been steadily adding schools over the years. 

Public schools serving families in Royal Oak are highly regarded, including Royal Oak Public Schools, Royal Oak Separate Schools, and Royal Oak French Immersion Schools.

There is also a private school in the community. The newly opened Renert School is a K-12 private school located in Royal Oak, perfect for students who excel in academics and easily manage their grade level expectations.

In response to the growing number of families in the area, the Calgary Board of Education opened the Royal Oak School in September 2010 to accommodate students from kindergarten to grade 3. A new middle school, the William D. Pratt School, was opened in 2016 for students from grades 4 to 9. 

Both of these schools are attended by children from Royal Oak and its neighbouring community, Rocky Ridge. When students reach grade 10, they are served by either Robert Thirsk High School in Arbour Lake and St. Francis High School in Brentwood.
