Capitol Hill is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located immediately north of the Trans-Canada Highway, and is bisected by 14th Street West. Capitol Hill ranked 39th overall in Avenue Calgary's 2020 Best Neighbourhoods.
The community of Capitol Hill is located in the northwest quadrant of the city and provides quiet residential living paired with quick access to the downtown core and great amenities including the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, and the Alberta University of the Arts. Confederation Park cuts a swath through the northern part of the neighbourhood abutting 16 Avenue NW to the south, 19 Street NW to the west, and 10 Street NW to the east.
Capitol Hill was established in 1948, but contains buildings as old as 1910. Most of the community was built in the 1950s. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 7 councillor. It is an area know for a great amount of recreation. It is also ranked in Calgary best neighbourhoods.
